Beatroot Cafe is a new co-operatively run cafe with ethical values in central Bristol who are being kind enough to offer us free office space to get the project off the ground. If you’re in Bristol check them out, all drinks are currently £1.
We learned quite a bit from holding a stall and attending talks and workshops at today’s Social Enterprise Conference and enjoyed the opportunity to discuss the project with people face to face. Particularly enjoyed talks by Sophie Tranchell from Divine Chocolate and Becca Lamont Jiggens from UnLtd on “how to get your idea across without confusing or boring people”. Thanks to Bristol Hub for organising the day and to FoodCycle Bristol for providing a tasty lunch.
We’ll be attending and holding a stall at Bristol Social Enterprise Conference this Saturday where we’re hoping to gather some support and attend some useful talks. For full details about the conference visit the website at http://www.bseconference.org/
